Description:
Say “I love you” in New Zealand Sign Language (NZSL), and add something a little more meaningful to your favourite jacket, bag or clothing at the same time.
Our NZSL I Love You Iron-On Patch features an embroidered hand motif representing “I love you”. It’s a fun way to share a message of love, celebrate New Zealand Sign Language, and add your own personality to the things you wear and use.
Iron it onto a jacket, jeans, bag, luggage or other suitable fabric. Use it to cover a small hole or mark, give an old favourite a new look, or stitch it on to create your own one-off piece.
It may even get someone asking what the hand means, opening up another conversation about NZSL, one of Aotearoa New Zealand’s official languages.

Weight: 1 gram each

How To Use:
👕 Check that your chosen fabric can safely withstand the heat of an iron. Cotton, denim and canvas are good options.
📍 Position the patch where you would like it.
🧺 Place a thin cloth over the patch to protect it while applying heat.
🔥 Iron over the covered patch, keeping the iron moving while the adhesive heats and bonds to the fabric.
⏱️ Allow the patch to cool completely and the adhesive to set before wearing or using your item.
🪡 You can also stitch the patch on instead, or add a few stitches for extra hold.
Care Instructions:
🧼 Follow the washing instructions for the item your patch is attached to.
🌡️ Avoid applying direct high heat over the embroidery.
🪡 If the edges begin to lift over time, stitch them down for extra security.
Note:
Not all fabrics are suitable for iron-on patches. Always check the care label and heat suitability before applying. An adult should handle the iron when patches for children.
